Deltona Doggie Daycare opened on March 28, 2006. We are a small, upscale boarding and daycare facility housing approximately 25 dogs. Our little place is very homey and cute with toys, regular dog beds, comforters, etc in each pen or room. Staff members are on duty from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm seven days a week, 365 days a year, so each dog under our care receives a great deal of personal attention not found in larger facilities. We specialize in spoiled, pampered pets, seniors, special needs dogs, and young puppies.

Our kennel is open for visiting hours seven days a week from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Deltona Doggie Care now offers dog grooming, puppy bathing, dog training, and puppy classes for residents of Deltona, DeLand, Orange City, Daytona, and the surrounding areas!

Our services are as follows:

DOGGIE DAYCARE

We provide a dog daycare service to dog owners, so they can bring their dogs to our facility and the pet can interact with other dogs. Day care is especially helpful for puppies whose owners are away for the day. Your pet will be happy, tired, socialized, and overall a better pet if he or she is not left alone for hours in a crate or confined to a room with no interaction with people or other pets.

PUPPY TRAINING THROUGH DAYCARE

Dogs are very social animals and their personalities are pretty much defined while they are still very young. We teach puppies, using positive reinforcement always, to interact socially with other dogs. We also, of course, do not allow behaviors such as jumping, biting, fighting with other dogs and bathrooming anywhere other than outdoors. As a result, you get good training for your puppy as a side benefit of daycare.

Daycare:
Monday – Friday
7 :00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Daycare Rates:
$12.00 per day for drop off
$50.00 pre-paid weekly

DOG BOARDING

We are a crate-free facility. We have pens and boarding suites. Suites are available on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a special needs dog that should be in a suite, please try to reserve as far in advance as possible as our suites are booked out well ahead of time, especially during holiday periods.

We have three turnout areas. Dogs are put out on a rotating basis. Dogs are never outside unsupervised. Your pet will be out for bathroom activities approximately every two hours during the day. Play times are generally in the mornings and limited during the afternoon heat.

Boarding Rates:
Small - $15.00
Second dog same family - $10.00
(same pen)

Large - $18.00
Second dog same family - $12.00
(same pen)

Checkout time is 10:00 a.m.
A discounted daycare rate of $10.00 will be applied for p.m. pickups. Drop off * pick up times for boarding are seven days per week - 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Boarding also includes feeding. We feed Eagle kibble. However, we want to point out that very frequently a complete change in dog food can result in loose stools and upset stomach. You are encouraged to bring food for your pet.

There are no extra charges for dispensing medications and, as stated above, special needs dogs are welcomed. We do reserve the right to refuse any dogs.

DOG GROOMING AND DOG BATHING:

Deltona Doggie Daycare now offers grooming and bathing for dogs and puppies. All grooming and baths include ear cleaning and nail trimming. Grooming appointments can be made anytime Sundays and Mondays but can be scheduled for other days. Please call for appointments and pricing. Dog grooming and baths are available six days per week by appointment the day before. We use all natural products for all of our dog grooming and dog bathing here at Deltona Doggie Daycare.

DOG TRAINING & PUPPY CLASSES:

Deltona Doggy Daycare offers puppy classes and dog training for all puppies three months and older. Puppies must have completed all puppy shots to attend. Vet records for puppies and adult dogs must be provided at the first class.

Our training classes will be for both puppies and adult dogs. There are two trainers; one will work with the puppies, one with adult dogs. They are held in our parking lot on weekday evenings. For the puppies we will focus on puppy problems, house breaking, crating, chewing, biting, jumping, interaction with other pets and children, in addition to leash training.

For the adult dogs we will work on beginning obedience, leash walking, sit, stay, come, etc.

BEHAVIORAL COUNSELING FOR DOGS AND PUPPIES:

Counseling and training on a one on one basis is available on site or at your home. Contact us for more information.

SIGHTHOUND RESCUE AND ADOPTION:

For many years we have been doing rescue and adoption for sighthounds. This includes afghans, borzois, greyhounds and whippets. If you are interested in giving up a sighthound for adoption or interested in adopting one of these breeds, please contact us.

OTHER BREED SPECIFIC RESCUE GROUPS:

We are more than willing to talk with you about adopting a breed which will work well in your situation. We will then refer you to a breed specific rescue group in this area. Call us at 386-575-1007 or 407-302-8105 for information.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Our main concerns are safety and good health. The following are required for all dogs allowed into the center:

  • Veterinarian records of rabies, dhlpp and bordetella (kennel cough)
  • We strongly suggest heartworm and flea prevention.
  • Female dogs in season will not be permitted.
  • All pets must come to the center with a leash and a collar.
  • Dogs with special needs are welcome.
  • Meds or special food, etc. must be provided by the owner.
  • We reserve the right to refuse aggressive dogs.
  • A hold harmless agreement must be signed before your pet is accepted.

All fees are due and payable prior to picking up your dog. Cash, check, debit card or Mastercard/VISA are accepted.

Our kennel is open for visiting hours seven days a week from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Our kennel is designed primarily for indoor pets. Dogs that are kept outside in back yards and on porches often will not do well in our facility. We do not have indoor/outdoor runs as the dogs are not put out into the turnout areas unattended for safety reasons. A dog that is used to being free to roam the yard all day may bark excessively and be quite unhappy in our care. We try very hard to keep our facility quiet and calm. For our sake, the sake of our doggie guests and the sake of your dog, please contact us if you have any questions.
